Mr. Koichi Yamamoto left Tokyo Maruichi Shoji Co., Ltd. which was a food
specialized trading company, and established Shinpoh Foods Co., Ltd. And started business in 1975.
He paid attention to development & imports of varieties and quality minded products, not the way of looking after quantity-volumes which normal trading houses were doing, and pursued original trading materials of the company’s own. In the times when the word “Gourmet” did not exist, he developed and imported Gamemeat, Foie gras, Venison, etc. from various overseas countries preceding ahead of other enterprises.
He opened branch offices in Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo, and built his existence as the starter of “Gourmet Boom”.
At present, out of scarce and expensive gourmet food trading materials and from general foodstuff products, what you call, putting emphasis on the development of popular gourmet products, Shinpoh developed shrimp-gyouzas, shrimp-leek-buns, gyouza-dogs which did spread the market for hotel/restaurants, family restaurants, pubs/bars, industry-lunches. Shinpoh also tries to popularize these products through major wholesale dealers.
On the basis of slogan “Gourmet Foods Information” with a weapon of plentiful intelligence amount, from procuring materials in various overseas countries to processing and manufacturing finish products, Shinpoh is promoting the development of gourmet foods and healthy(organic, no additives) foods to further meet the needs & requirements of the age.
It is a motto of our staff to manage this (Idea→Marketing→Processing→Sales) alone and Shinpoh aims to be multi-ability-industrial-group.
